PRELIOS SGR INTRODUCES NEW SOCIAL HOUSING INITIATIVES FOR THE UMBRIA REGION THROUGH THE ASCI FUND

 

In the run-up to the Fa’ la cosa giusta fair in Bastia Umbria today, the ASCI (Fondo Abitare Sostenibile Centro Italia) property investment Fund, managed by Prelios Sgr, introduced several property development projects aimed at promoting social housing initiatives in Umbria.

 

The projects, distributed among Perugia, Bastia Umbra and Foligno, aim to achieve two main objectives: to respond to the demand for rent-controlled housing at prices below the market rates, while maintaining high qualitative standards from a technical-construction point of view, and to develop an innovative project management system which focuses on the relationships among people, in order to encourage management that better meets the needs of those who live there. Thanks to these property development projects, the ASCI Fund – 70% owned by FIA - Fondo Investimenti per l’Abitare, created by CDP Investimenti Sgr – supports social housing in a region affected by a housing shortage.

 

Specifically, the project provides for the construction of 171 homes in Perugia and 60 in Foligno, accessible under both lease agreements with a right of redemption, and long-term lease agreements. In Bastia Umbra, the project provides for the construction 123 apartments, 94 of which are for social housing purposes, in addition to a medium‑size retail unit and local commercial units/shops.
